About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Crime Specialist to join our AML Advisory team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal decision-making process around our high-risk clients.

As a Financial Crime Specialist, you will be responsible for working with a wide variety of tasks within the financial crime space, requiring in-depth understanding of money-laundering-, tax evasion-, sanctions-, adverse media-, and terrorist financing risks.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and make different risk-related assessments.
  • Take ownership in the material as AML advisory present/facilitate to management and ensure that it is sufficient and concrete for the management to approve the risk of the book?
  • Take part in AML advisory on complex high-risk assessments including tax-evasion risk.
  • Give input in relation to Saxo's risk appetite and initiatives for mitigating risk measurements.
  • Take part in various projects internally and ensure continuous improvement on existing initiatives and new commercial aspects.
  • Give input and seek new knowledge on how we continuously keep up to date with new digital ways of working.
Your Profile:
  • Have a relevant educational background and/or experience with different financial crime typologies, interpretation of AML regulatory requirements, risk management, and compliance.
  • Have experience with at least two client segments; direct, corporate, and/or institutional.
  • Preferably have certifications such as CAMS/ACAMS, ICA, or similar.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial sector working with making assessments of complex risk cases.
  • Are proficient in English both oral and written, Danish is not a requirement.

You are detail-oriented, analytical, and like to have multiple projects and tasks at a time. You take pride in your work and can convert complex assessment cases into concrete action points. You prefer in your work to be to the point in arguments and when making decisions. You find it easy to build relationships and communicate effectively on all levels and across borders in a global and dynamic environment. You are a team player, but with the capacity to work independently.
