We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Safety Engineer to join our Offshore Substations department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall safety of offshore substations and converter platforms.
About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a technical safety professional to work on a wide range of projects, from design verification to commissioning and periodic inspection. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team engaged in design verification activities, collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines, including structural design, process design, technical safety, electrical, and instrumentation engineering.
Key Responsibilities- Cover all steps in the certification process, from review of early designs to design verification, fabrication surveillance, commissioning, and periodic inspection of installations in operation
- Conduct technical work and additional project management activities, including collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Work in an international environment, interacting with DNV organization, clients, and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience from a similar position, preferably from the consulting or engineering sector
- Technical safety generalist with experience in and skills/knowledge/interest within fire safety engineering, with a passion for diving into the detailed design of offshore substation installations, fire and explosion, escape and evacuation, risk assessments, functional safety, etc.
- Strong English skills (written and spoken)
