In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in vitro pharmacokinetics studies to evaluate the potential for drug-drug interactions. You will work closely with our colleagues in Clinical Pharmacology to ensure that our compounds are safe and effective for patients.
Your primary focus will be on planning, conducting, and reporting in vitro pharmacokinetics studies, as well as PBPK modeling and simulation. This will involve managing studies such as enzyme reaction phenotyping, enzyme inhibition, enzyme induction, transporter inhibition, and transporter substrate evaluations.
As an important part of your work, you will collaborate with Contract Research Organisations (CROs) who perform studies on behalf of Lundbeck. You will also be responsible for studies performed in our laboratories and will provide guidance and support to our technicians.
The Department of Drug Metabolism is part of the Drug ADME Research Division within Non-Clinical Safety Research. Our team is based in Valby, Copenhagen, and we pride ourselves on fostering scientific excellence, a collaborative, supportive, and friendly work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have a PhD in biochemistry, pharmacy, chemical engineering, or equivalent. You should have experience in enzymology of major drug metabolizing enzymes, inhibition kinetics, and design of in vitro pharmacokinetics studies. You should also have hands-on experience with in vitro pharmacokinetics assays and LC-MS.
