Seaweed Aquaculture Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team at Aarhus University's Department of Ecoscience. As a seaweed aquaculture researcher, you will contribute to the development of sustainable seaweed cultivation practices and their impact on marine ecosystems.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for working on various aspects of seaweed research, including kelp cultivation, genetics, microbiomes, metabolomics, and biodiversity. You will also be involved in experimental planning, data analysis, and writing scientific publications.
Your work will contribute to existing and new science-industrial research projects. You may also supervise bachelor and master students and lead the writing of scientific papers. Additionally, you will participate in proposal writing for external funding.
Requirements- A PhD in a relevant field such as seaweed aquaculture, ecosystem effects of seaweed cultivation, or equivalent.
- Publication experience is essential.
- Successful experience with writing research proposals is an advantage.
- Experience with handling and analysis of seaweed samples is an advantage.
- Experience with statistical analysis (R) is essential.
- Collaboration skills are necessary, as you will work in a team and interact with industry partners.
- Good English skills are mandatory.
