The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Advisor to join our Medical & Scientific Affairs team in Novo Nordisk Denmark – Region Capital. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you'll play a vital role in driving our cardiometabolic portfolio strategy in the region.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Establishing strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), sales teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication of medical data.
- Developing and executing strategic plans to enhance the visibility and credibility of our brand within the region.
- Collaborating with the clinical trial team to develop and execute clinical trial protocols that meet regulatory requirements.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest scientific developments in diabetes and cardiometabolic medicine.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for our products and therapies within the region.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need a master's degree in medicine, pharmaceutical science, or another relevant field. Your background should include significant experience working within the clinical/pharmaceutical industry in diabetes or cardiometabolic medicine.
You should possess:
- Proven experience in managing Medical Affairs activities, clinical trials, observational studies, and planning and conducting advisory boards/expert panels.
- A deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including current trends and emerging issues.
- Experience in managing complex projects, ensuring timely completion, and meeting high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
About the Department
The Medical & Scientific Affairs Department consists of the Head of Medical, three Regional Medical Advisors, and five Medical Managers who are responsible for driving and/or leading the scientific activities within the Novo Nordisk focus therapy areas. We collect, interpret, and implement scientific evidence and insights related to our focus areas in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
We manage investigator-sponsored studies (ISS) and support & drive generation and interpretation of real-world studies across Denmark. Additionally, we support clinical trial activities and provide scientific input to activities across the organization.
