Global Industry Manager Role Overview
Universal Robots is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Industry Manager to lead the development and execution of our segment go-to-market strategy. This individual will be responsible for driving top-line growth and profitability, working closely with Marketing and Sales leadership to deploy business development programs and go-to-market initiatives.
About the Role
This is a critical position that requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or industry leadership roles within the automation/logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and deploy segment go-to-market plans, aligning resources and identifying key accounts to support go-to-market activities.
- Program Management: Lead the implementation of company-wide business development programs, tracking results and providing frequent status updates.
- Sales Cadence Process: Drive the sales cadence process for the market segment, enhancing pipeline integrity through targeted activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Markets, Business Development functional specialists, Brand, Marketing and Communications, and other resources as needed to support market segment and account team needs.
Executing the Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategy
- Account Management: Facilitate account management sessions with regional sales and key focus accounts.
- Pipeline Analysis: Review and interpret key accounts financial performance, pipeline reporting, and analysis, identifying opportunities for growth.
- UR+ Partner Ecosystem: Lead strategic discussions with partners to determine relevant strategies and fill gaps within the industry segment.
- Channel Partnerships: Ensure partnerships with system/solution provider networks drive success within the industry segment.
- Product Management: Collaborate with product management to ensure future needs are well understood, ensuring success within the industry segment.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service by delivering relevant insights and best practices in the industry.
Pursuits and Opportunity Management
- Campaign Monitoring: Regularly monitor CRM tools to understand market trends and drive actions as needed.
- Pursuit Support: Provide strategic pursuit support for the industry, collaborating with global and regional teams.
About You
We are looking for individuals with the following experience:
- 15+ years' experience in sales, business development, or industry leadership roles within the automation/logistics industry.
- Strong executive presence, leadership skills, and ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated success in building strong relationships at a senior level.
- Experience managing budgets and/or P&L.
- Team player with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of projects.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Knowledgeable of market and industry dynamics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Competent with Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Estimated salary range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, based on location and experience.
