About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Engineer to join our dynamic and diverse team at Itinera Denmark. As a Contract Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the management, drafting, review, and administration of contracts between clients, contractors, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and administration of subcontract agreements, ensuring timely and effective communication with all parties involved.
  • Support the Procurement team in drafting and negotiating contracts, including reviewing terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Handle change requests: Evaluate and process change orders or variation requests from contractors and subcontractors, ensuring that any changes to the project scope are documented, approved, and reflected in the contract terms.
  • Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor claims, variations, and payment applications, maintaining accurate records of all contract-related documents and correspondence.
  • Provide support in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial tracking of projects, collaborating with project teams to ensure contract requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, contract management, or a related role (internships or relevant projects may be considered).
  • Basic understanding of contract law, procurement processes, and ABs construction contracts (knowledge of other forms of contract, such as FIDIC, NEC, etc., is a plus).
  • Professional proficiency in English, both verbally and written.
  • High level of communication skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the role, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
