We are currently seeking a highly skilled researcher and developer to join our Weather Research Department. The successful applicant will work on the development and application of weather radar-based precipitation products, focusing on:

  • Improving the accuracy of precipitation forecasts
  • Enhancing the quality of weather radar data
  • Integrating radar data into numerical weather prediction models

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g. geophysics, computer science)
  • Strong programming skills in UNIX environment
  • Experience with machine learning, high performance computing, and data processing
