About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Currency Specialist to join our team in Copenhagen S, Denmark. As a key member of our Market Risk Management & Middle Office team, you will be responsible for managing currency exposure, assessing and monitoring credit risk, position, and performance measures, and enhancing our controlling and reporting setup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the currency exposure of Vestas Wind Systems A/S
  • Assess, monitor, and report credit risk, position, and performance measures
  • Enhance and develop the controlling and reporting setup
  • Participate in deep dives and analysis of currency and commodity exposure
  • Business Development support

Team Overview:

The Market Risk Management & Middle Office team is responsible for managing the Group's financial risk, commodity risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, bonds, financial guarantees, and the global cash management infrastructure. We are a dynamic and highly skilled team of 7 employees from various nationalities, working closely together to ensure the success of the company.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent advanced qualification with a focus on finance, economics, or data science
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in finance, risk management, or data analytics
  • Advanced communication skills and fluency in English
  • Strong systems skills including MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Think-cell)
  • Experience with SAP BI and/or SAP BPC is a plus
  • SQL and/or VBA is an advantage
  • Familiarity with trading systems such as Quantum is beneficial
  • Curious with a proactive and analytical approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are needed to work closely with both external and internal contacts, and advise and challenge your stakeholders
  • Ability to manage numerous simultaneous priorities
