Postdoctoral Researcher in Renal Microvascular Structure and Function

In this role, you will join our team of expert researchers working on cutting-edge projects in renal physiology, vascular physiology, and blood flow imaging. Our interdisciplinary approach brings together experts from various fields, creating a dynamic and stimulating work environment.
Your Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled postdoctoral researcher to contribute to our ongoing project in intravital imaging. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing a methodology to extract information about the renal microcirculatory structure and dynamics. This will involve working closely with colleagues to perform translational research and achieve high international quality results.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct independent research of high international quality, including publications and grant applications
- Perform experiments in animal models, including surgical preparation and operation of imaging tools
- Analyze image data in MATLAB and provide physiological interpretation of your observations
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve translational research goals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- PhD in a relevant field, such as physiology, biology, bioengineering, or biomedical sciences
- Basic knowledge of vascular and/or renal physiology
- Skilled in surgical preparation of animal models (rodents) and holding a valid FELASA certification
- Experience working with imaging techniques, such as Multiphoton Microscopy, Laser Speckle Flowmetry, Ultrasound, and Computer Tomography
- Proficient in programming languages, particularly MATLAB/Python
