Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Mastercard Payment Services Denmark A/S. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and growing our commercial business in the Nordics market, focusing on large market B2B and Travel & Entertainment, supplier payments and embedded finance technology partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue direct opportunities with potential new corporate customers in the Nordics market.
- Execute on leadership established and pre-defined sales strategy through a segmented approach towards mid and large corporates, and partners.
- Manage sales pipeline and new business KPIs.
- Work across different segments, coordinating with local product and account management teams.
- Introduce commercial cards and non-cards solutions to target prospects, including expense management, virtual cards, business-to-business payments, working capital, supplier acceptance & onboarding, and business intelligence.
- Direct sales through core business development strategies, including cold calling and direct marketing.
- Prospect, contact, and support contracting with new customers through multiple engagement channels, including local meetings, events, and conferences.
- Play a lead role in conversations with key decision makers at new customers.
- Enhance ongoing business development relationships with the industry by attending and participating in webinars and customer trainings in the commercial payments space.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to articulate solutions and value propositions to senior management stakeholders and customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively and deliver results in a highly cross-functional environment.
- High self-motivation and ability to work autonomously, with a strong customer and results orientation.
- Experience in a SaaS-based business development role within payments, preferred.
- Fluency in English and other languages, highly preferable.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other postgraduate degree, an advantage.
Corporate Security Responsibility:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for information security and must abide by Mastercard's security policies and practices, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed, reporting any suspected information security violation or breach, and completing all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelines.
