The Department of Clinical Medicine at the Faculty of Health is one of the largest health science research departments in Denmark, covering all medical specialties and collaborating closely with the university hospital and regional hospitals.

Job Description

We are seeking a Professor of Experimental Radiotherapy to join our team. The successful candidate will have joint responsibility for developing experimental and translational research in radiation physics and particle radiotherapy at Aarhus University and the Danish Center for Particle Therapy.

The ideal candidate will contribute to implementing our faculty's overall research strategy and develop high-quality research that aligns with our goals. They will also teach and supervise students, as well as lead research projects and collaborate with other experts in the field.

The position requires a strong academic record, excellent teaching and leadership skills, and the ability to attract external funding for research projects. We expect the successful candidate to be fluent in English and willing to learn Danish.

Your Responsibilities
  • Conduct research of high international quality, including publishing in top journals and communicating research through national and international networks.
  • Teach, supervise, and examine students at various levels.
  • Secure external research funding for your own research group.
  • Supervise the use of experimental research beamlines at the Danish Center for Particle Therapy.
  • Supervise PhD students and contribute to developing our faculty's PhD courses.
  • Participate in assessment and committee work at Aarhus University.
