About This Opportunity

This is a critical role in the organization, responsible for driving the engineering team as they build towards a zero-touch, highly refined, self-service model in this space. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of scaling up large SaaS-type offerings, including experience with cloud-native security solutions and machine learning.

Responsibilities
  1. Uphold operational excellence for the global- and region-level serverless platform systems.
  2. Be a champion of secure, high-quality engineering, and drive teams towards architectures that strike the right balance between availability, scalability, and cost.
  3. Lead by example on customer and product focus.
  4. Move our serverless platform mission forward by independently balancing constraints around distributed system engineering, end-to-end system resilience, and hardware utilization.
  5. Be instrumental in the hiring, retention, mentorship, and growth of our world-class engineering teams.
  6. Engage and collaborate with various teams to ensure our platform's success.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed system platform software products/releases, preferably in a hyper-scale cloud environment. Additionally, 3+ years of experience managing teams of 6+ individual contributors and delivering multiple major milestones of products is required.

  • Demonstrated operational excellence when operating services that span many components across several geographical regions.
  • Capability to solve complex scenarios of integrating multiple systems and services that are operating 24/7.
