Infrastructure Specialist Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Universal Robots, a part of Teradyne Inc. As an Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing, managing, and maintaining our existing IT Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enhance, implement, and maintain existing IT Infrastructure, including networks, servers, and storage systems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure components with existing systems and software.
  3. Monitor the performance and capacity of IT systems, proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact operations.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
  5. Ensure the reliability, security, and disaster recovery capabilities of IT systems through regular testing, backup, and failover processes.
  6. Be the escalation point for the IT Support team.

Requirements

  1. A curiosity for automation and scripting in PowerShell and Python.
  2. 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure specialization, administration, or similar.
  3. Good knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., 802.1x, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, routing, and switching).
  4. Experience with server and storage systems (e.g., Windows and Linux).
  5. Good knowledge of Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.
  7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  8. A team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills who takes responsibility.
