Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned software developer who is enthusiastic about technology and e-commerce to become a vital member of our Commerce Storefront team. This role involves enhancing the discovery and purchasing journey of Unity's subscription and pay-as-you-go offerings, requiring close collaboration with both the Commerce team and the product teams associated with each offering. Your contributions will directly influence the onboarding experience for new Unity customers and play a crucial role in optimizing our online revenue streams.

You will collaborate with experienced software engineers, as well as product and design teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in all stages of software development, from design and architecture to implementation, testing, and maintenance. Develop features that support the functionality of the Commerce Platform storefront UI and API endpoints.
  • Assist colleagues in maintaining code quality, operational excellence, and shared knowledge.
  • Actively participate in customer support by engaging with internal teams to help resolve any challenges or inquiries they may encounter.
  • Work closely with our product manager, stakeholders, and customers to identify friction points, propose solutions, and promote the adoption of our tools.
  • Take part in refinement and strategy sessions with the team, fostering collaboration and mutual support.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in modern front-end technologies such as React, and/or back-end technologies like Go.
  • Strong capability to design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end architecture and/or API gateway solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.
  • High standards for code quality, testing, and performance.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with service-oriented architecture, utilizing Kubernetes on a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure). Our team employs Google Cloud Platform & Vercel.
  • Knowledge of Linux and containerization, with experience in a Linux environment and using containers (Docker).
  • Experience in developing platform solutions for internal development teams.
