About The Role

We are seeking an exceptional Data Engineering Manager to lead our data engineering team, driving the development of robust and scalable systems. As a multiplier for our data engineers, you will help them achieve their full potential, unblocking teams and iterating on ways of working to continually improve things.

Your mission is to mentor and guide our data engineering team in building systems that can handle big data with ease. You will foster an environment where engineers perform at their best and grow both as individuals and as a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directly manage 8-12 Data engineers.
  • Coach the team in working collaboratively with other engineers and data experts to grow platform adoption.
  • Drive a user-centric & solution-oriented mindset.
  • Continuously improve the environment and processes to support the data platform growth, maturity and compliance with best practices together with the team and other Data & Analytics leaders.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and steer the data platform strategy with the team, aligning it with wider business, product, tech and data strategies. You will also represent Data Engineering in key initiatives and projects within the department or across the company, ensuring they get delivered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing the organization, objectives and holding a high standard in people, delivery, and technology. They will also continue and extend the investment we have already made in AWS, GCP, dbt, BigQuery, Looker, etc.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as private health insurance, flexible working hours, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
