About 3Shape and the Role

We are an international company with over 50 nationalities, creating award-winning scanning and CAD/CAM solutions. Our mission is to enable dentists to provide superior dental care to every patient.

As a scanner software developer in our Discovery team, you'll be part of our core front-end innovation. You'll work closely with experts in user research, camera systems, mathematical modelling, and other areas to create technology assets and concepts for new products.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Develop early product ideas and technology assets together with the Discovery team and relevant stakeholders.
  2. Engage with the wider organization to ensure ideas and knowledge are included in our work.
  3. Bring your technical perspective into discussions on how we create user value and business opportunities.
  4. Take part in developing how we work with early innovation.
  5. Stay up-to-date on your professional field and its trends in the dental industry.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Proven experience with embedded software and image analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software development with over three years of practical experience.
  • Programming skills in at least one object-oriented language.
  • A master's degree or Ph.D. in computer science, mathematics, physics, or another relevant field.
  • Mindset and ability to do early-stage innovation coupled with a zeal for questioning existing norms.
  • Advanced cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Skilled in translating user needs into effective technical solutions.
