Microscopy Scientist for Enzyme Catalysis

We are seeking a talented Microscopy Scientist to join our team at DTU Physics. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge microscopy techniques for studying enzymes immobilized on various matrices.
About the ProjectThe successful candidate will be part of a highly interdisciplinary collaboration focused on characterizing and understanding the behavior of immobilized enzymes in catalytic reactions. You will work closely with our international partners to advance the field of biocatalysis and develop innovative solutions for sustainable chemistry.
Responsibilities- Develop and apply advanced microscopy techniques, including optical fluorescence microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, to study enzyme interactions with matrices.
- Analyze and interpret data to gain insights into enzyme structure-function relationships and catalytic mechanisms.
- Collaborate with researchers from diverse backgrounds to integrate microscopy results with computational modeling and synthesis efforts.
- Contribute to the development of novel methods for visualizing and understanding enzyme interfaces in catalytic processes.
- PhD degree in physics, chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- Strong background in microscopy, including experience with optical and electron microscopy techniques.
- Proven track record of publishing research findings in reputable scientific journals.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse disciplines.
