Nordisk Ministerråd - Nordic Council is a leading international research centre for regional development and planning. We conduct solution-oriented and applied research, addressing current issues from both an academic perspective and from the viewpoint of policymakers and practitioners.
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable Data and GIS Analyst to join our team in Stockholm, Sweden. The successful candidate will have a strong background in geoscience, urban and regional planning, human geography, social sciences, or other relevant disciplines.
The Data and GIS Analyst will be responsible for collecting and harmonizing statistical and spatial data on different geographical scales from diverse sources. They will also perform statistical data analysis, including exploratory analysis and statistical modelling, as well as GIS analysis, including spatial and network analysis.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with micro data and web-mapping solutions, such as ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python or R, is desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to network and work effectively with various stakeholders and partner organizations are essential.
