About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Offshore Cable Installation Specialist to join our team at Ørsted. As a key member of our Offshore Cable Installation team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of planning, tendering, and installation of offshore array and export cables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Tendering: Develop and implement comprehensive plans for the installation of offshore cables, including technical and commercial assessments of different installation methodologies and equipment.
  • Contract Negotiations: Negotiate contracts with installation contractors to ensure the delivery of high-quality technical services.
  • Project Management: Manage the processes, time schedules, and budgets of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Technical Interfaces: Establish and maintain technical interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, including GIS, engineering, CPS, FOU, and OSS installation teams.
  • Lessons Learned: Identify and share synergies and optimization opportunities across projects, implementing a lessons learned process to drive continuous improvement.
  • Project Closure: Ensure timely project closure, including the release of technical documentation and handover to Operations & Maintenance.
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Possess deep technical knowledge of subsea cable installation for array, export, and landfall scopes.
  • Project Management: Demonstrate strong project management capabilities, with a structured, service-minded, and flexible approach to assigned scopes.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong intercultural communication and negotiation skills in English.
  • Education: Hold a degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, marine engineering, or wind energy.
