About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and porting software for new hardware platforms, from prototype to mass production. This includes architecture and development of solutions in Roku's proprietary IOT RTOS, working primarily in C.

We value people who pride themselves on their ability to navigate ambiguity, collaborate, and partner with both internal and external teams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Embedded Software Engineering, hands-on experience with C/C++ coding, expertise in real-time software, and experience working with RTOSs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions for IOT devices
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate IOT and Roku OS solutions
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize battery consumption
  • Collaborate with QA and development teams to ensure seamless integration
