The Team
We are a collaborative and agile team that values technical expertise, creativity, and open communication. As a Backend Systems Developer, you will be working closely with our engineering leads and peers to set the technical direction for our product and contribute to the development and evolution of the Peakon platform.
Your Responsibilities
- You will be a key contributor in technical and functional discussions within the team, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- As part of our cross-functional team, you will work with engineers, designers, QAs, and product managers to deliver exciting and impactful features for employees across all levels at companies who use Peakon every day.
- You will be responsible for building features that help employees drive the change they want to see at their workplace, using your technical expertise to contribute towards building a best-in-class product.
Our Tech Stack
We believe in staying on the cutting edge of tech and value learning and growing in our roles. Our tech stack centers around JavaScript, with Node.js on the server and React on the frontend. We also use TypeScript to prevent runtime errors in our frontend applications and rely heavily on automated testing on all levels of the application.
About You
- You have 1-3 years of experience with backend development and have worked in a team setting, using collaborative tools for version control, code reviews, and project management.
- You are familiar with a Node.js based ecosystem or willing to put in the extra work at the beginning to make the switch.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and are comfortable working in an agile environment.
