Job Description

Aalborg University's Copenhagen campus is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join the CULTIGEN project, which aims to develop a data-driven and community-focused tourism governance framework. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a participatory 'Urban listening toolkit' to engage, collect, and analyze users' data on their urban experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-develop the digital toolkit with external partners, leveraging digital research infrastructures such as the Urban Belonging app.
  • Facilitate design sprints and mediate between stakeholders and programmers to scope the analytical functionalities and design specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of the project's research questions, methodology, and project plan in collaboration with Professor Anders Koed Madsen and Associate Professor Martin Trandberg Jensen.
  • Engage in co-developing the toolkit with external partners, demonstrating an interest in 'outward-facing research'.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as digital humanities, techno-anthropology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in digital methods, participatory data processes, and design sprints.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate design sprints and mediate between stakeholders and programmers.
  • Knowledge of digital research infrastructures, such as the Urban Belonging app, is highly desirable.
