The University of Copenhagen invites applications for a postdoctoral position as a conservation biologist at the Center for Macroecology, Evolution and Climate. The successful candidate will contribute to the FunDive project, which aims to enhance European conservation efforts for fungi.

  • We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with a PhD in conservation science, biology, or other environmental sciences.
  • A good understanding of fungal ecology, macrofungal diversity, and biodiversity conservation is required.

The position is part of the FunDive project, which involves partners in over 20 European countries. You will have the opportunity to work with citizen science and eDNA sampling, and explore changes in fungal communities over time and space.

The successful candidate will have the main responsibility for conducting research in collaboration with their supervisor and external project partners. They will also have the opportunity to lead the development of first-authored papers and participate in teaching and supervising MSc and BSc students.
