Microsystem Innovator for mRNA Vaccines

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join our research team at DTU Nanolab. As a member of our group, you will focus on the development of novel microsystems for vaccine delivery, exploiting the potential of additive manufacturing and microfluidics. In this project, you will work closely with researchers from DTU Health Tech and SSI to create innovative solutions for vaccine administration.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and optimizing microsystems for vaccine delivery using additive manufacturing technology
  • Establishing methods for evaluation of stability and efficacy of the novel vaccine delivery devices
  • Contributing to the development of the MINERVA project, which aims to overcome the limitations of current mRNA vaccines

To be considered for this position, you should have a strong academic record in micro- or nanoengineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field. Experience with 3D design and additive manufacturing is highly valuable. A keen interest in biomedical applications and excellent English language skills are also necessary.
