**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Professor of Structural Biology and Protein Biochemistry to lead our research team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Vaccines and Immunity. As a Group Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative research strategies to advance our understanding of vaccine immunogens.

About the Team

You will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of scientists and researchers working on cutting-edge projects to develop novel vaccines against airborne epidemics. Our team is committed to harnessing airway immunity through innovative vaccine research and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scientific Leadership: Develop and execute research plans to unravel protein structures and dynamics, with a focus on applying advanced digital tools, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and molecular modeling.
  • Research Facilities: Design, implement, and maintain state-of-the-art facilities for discovery, research, and early development activities, ensuring compliance with national and international quality standards.
  • Cross-Collaboration: Provide collaborative leadership and participate in cross-cutting project teams to integrate research activities with other groups within NIVI-R and the Department.
  • External Partnerships: Partner and collaborate with external groups to gain access to model systems and related technologies that can apply to NIVI's mission.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field of biology
  • Documented research outputs at the international level, including considerable contributions to the development of the discipline and ideally with relevant vaccine-related experience
  • Leadership skills able to champion NIVI and NIVI-R's values and motivate diverse teams
