We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at the LEGO Group. In this role, you will play a key part in developing ground-up Should Cost calculations to support Procurement in identifying cost opportunities and ensuring value for money is achieved.

As a Senior Cost Estimator, you will work closely with the Procurement team for Packaging to build up extensive cost knowledge and opportunity within the category. This will help the teams build up their understanding of the cost structures for different types of boxes both retail and for logistics in many different countries.

You will develop Should Cost models for packaging and be involved in negotiations working closely with suppliers to agree cost structures and identify cost opportunities while maintaining relationships.

Requirements:
  • A strong background in engineering/manufacturing with proven experience in cost estimation, including finance and supply chain.
  • Extensive experience with production processes, including the impact of volume and location on packaging and packing costs.
  • A deep understanding of market indices and experience incorporating market rates into cost models for accurate pricing forecasts.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and expertise in Cost Estimating principles to drive successful data generation and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and self-confidence, with a collaborative approach to engaging stakeholders.
  • Able to identify cost-saving opportunities both from production lines and Should Cost data, presenting insights clearly and persuasively.
  • Up to 10% annual travel expectation.
