About EG IT

The EG IT department is tasked with the support, development, management, and maintenance of our information technology framework, which encompasses hardware, software, networks, and databases. This team is also responsible for the creation and implementation of new functionalities for both standardized and customized software, aimed at improving overall system capabilities. These services necessitate a diverse set of technical skills and a deep understanding of the organization's business goals and processes.

The architecture of our systems and the data model are crucial for daily operations, as well as for future growth and the overall success of the organization. Our dedicated team comprises over 40 professionals working across seven countries, with each team focusing on specific domains to ensure expertise and dedicated attention. Our critical architecture includes ERP, CRM, HRM, integration platforms, workflow automation, networks, servers, and clients, among others.

Responsibilities of the Role

The NetSuite installation involves numerous customizations and integrations, providing a comprehensive solution portfolio. Our objective is to deliver seamless user experiences and optimize efficiency across various functional areas, development, and operations.

As a NetSuite Functional Consultant, you will collaborate closely with business units, including finance, to comprehend their processes and requirements. Your contributions will include planning, designing, configuring, and customizing solutions to meet their specific needs. You will operate at the intersection of business units and product development, ensuring holistic deliveries that align with agreed timelines, costs, and quality standards.

Daily operational tasks and documentation are also essential components of this role, and familiarity with agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence will be advantageous.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are an excellent fit if you possess strong NetSuite expertise and a comprehensive understanding of its functionalities, modules, and features. Proven experience as a NetSuite Functional Consultant or in a similar role is essential.

In this position, your ability to manage stakeholders and facilitate seamless collaboration across various departments will be vital. Additionally, your analytical skills will be key in interpreting complex business requirements and translating them into effective NetSuite solutions.

Key Competencies Required

  • Proficiency in analyzing diverse environments, identifying challenges, and delivering effective solutions.
  • Ability to leverage and customize out-of-the-box NetSuite solutions, recognizing when standard solutions may not suffice for optimal problem resolution.
  • Capability to evaluate the current NetSuite environment and enhance utilization, functionality, and workflow automation across all business functions.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing future-state data integrations into NetSuite efficiently.
  • Experience with Zone Advanced Billing, AVT, Dynatos/ReadSoft, Pagero, and Banking is desirable.
  • Familiarity with localization bundles, particularly Nordic bundles.
  • Experience in exporting, modifying, and importing data using saved searches, CSV imports, mass updates, and scripts.
  • Ability to stay updated on existing and emerging IT and industry trends relevant to current and new technologies.

Qualifications and Characteristics

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Relevant educational background (e.g., a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field).
  • NetSuite Consultant Certification is preferred.
  • NetSuite Administrator Certification is also preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, as it is the corporate language at EG Norge AS.
