About the PositionThe University seeks to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist with relevant competencies within veterinary biochemistry, organic chemistry, and cell biology.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in veterinary biochemistry and related fields, with a focus on publishing and disseminating research findings.
- Develop and implement research-based teaching programs, including supervision of bachelor, master, and PhD students.
- Lead research projects and provide guidance and supervision to researchers.
- Share knowledge with society through various channels.
- Contribute to academic assessments and the acquisition of independent research funding.
- Documented research qualifications within veterinary biochemistry, organic chemistry, and cell biology.
- Experience in securing external funding for research.
- Teaching qualifications and pedagogical competences.
- Research-based teaching experience.
The successful candidate will be affiliated with the research group of Disease Stem Cell Models and Embryology, which focuses on disease modelling using state-of-the-art stem cell approaches for neurodegenerative diseases, epilepsy, and glaucoma in animals and humans.
