About the Position

As our Supplier Relationship Manager, you will play a vital role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service. Your primary responsibilities will include managing Njord's commercial vendor relationships globally, ensuring we partner with top-tier suppliers and deliver best-in-class service to our clients.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop and implement an SRM strategy that aligns with business objectives and drives growth
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with technology suppliers, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery
  • Negotiate and secure favorable contracts for clients, considering price, lead time, warranty, and other critical commercial aspects
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews with the Operations team and engage in performance dialogues with suppliers to drive continuous improvement
  • Identify and onboard new relevant suppliers in collaboration with the Technical and Operations teams
  • Oversee large-scale procurement projects involving multiple vessel engagements or high CAPEX amounts
Requirements

To succeed in this challenging yet rewarding role, you should possess:

  • A background as a Project Manager, Procurement Manager, or Category Manager with 3-5 years of experience in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and/or contract management
  • Negotiation, communication, stakeholder management, analytics, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to naturally engage stakeholders, manage expectations, and challenge previous beliefs and traditions
  • Extensive experience from a procurement-related position, preferably within the maritime technology space
  • The capacity to work independently with personal initiative and a strategic mindset
  • Business understanding with very proficient English skills
