About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal Engineer to join our Ports, Marine and Coastal Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical coastal engineering excellence and leading the development of innovative solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead for technical coastal engineering excellence, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.
  • Deliver professional expertise to projects and customers, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
  • Manage numerical modelling tasks for waves, water levels, currents, sediment transport, etc. using state-of-the-art software such as MIKE.
  • Manage met-ocean analysis of waves, currents, and water levels to establish design conditions for both coastal and offshore projects.
  • Design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change.
  • Hydraulic design of water intake and outfall structures.
  • Prepare technical documents (reports, drawings, specifications).
  • Engage and interact with other team members in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence.
  • Take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables.
  • Promote our capabilities in the market.
  • Co-create closely with clients and stakeholders, focusing on value creation.
  • Act as a role model for our younger team members.

About You

  • A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar).
  • Preferably +10 years proven experience in the design of marine structures, such as quay, jetty, and berthing structures, pile decks, caissons, block walls, dolphins, etc.
  • Knowledge about port equipment, mooring systems, and navigation.
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methodology.
  • Large experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects, such as ports, flood defences, artificial islands, or immersed tunnels.
  • Great communication skills - English at a professional level, Danish is highly appreciated, and any other language skills are a plus.
