Danske Bank is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join the Customer Engagement Individuals Tribe. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank's data journey into the future.
Within the Personal Customers business unit, you will collaborate with data and business experts to ensure seamless data enablement across the bank, adhering to Danske Bank's technical frameworks. This will empower the delivery of high-quality customer products and enhance the bank's digital capabilities, aligning with the Forward '28 strategy.
The Customer Engagement Individuals Tribe is centered around the customer, with a diverse range of profiles and nationalities working together to create exceptional solutions. You will join a community of approximately 140 colleagues, becoming part of a data squad that drives data enablement for the Personal Customers domain.
Your primary objectives as a Data Engineer will include:
- Developing data pipelines for collection, ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and loading.
- Ensuring efficient data movement, storage, organization, accessibility, and scalability within the group-wide technical landscape.
- Providing sufficient and coherent documentation and reporting.
- Collaborating with system and data owners to enable data.
- Ensuring bank-wide data availability by working with other business areas across Personal Customers.
- Aligning data with the bank's regulatory, governance, security, and management frameworks for end-to-end compliance.
- Continuously learning and growing in the role, adapting to new technologies as the technical landscape evolves.
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or similar.
- Experience with data pipelining.
- Proven proficiency in database management, including relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with integration tools, such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, or cloud-based solutions like AWS Glue or Azure Data Factory.
- Understanding of cloud vendors, data platforms, and big data technologies.
- Foundational knowledge of Git for version control and introductory understanding of DevOps principles.
- Clear understanding and experience with ETL processes.
- Experience with security, compliance, risk, load, and general financial services data.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Residency in Denmark, as relocation is not offered.
