Lead Energy Transition Project Director

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Major Projects department within our global Energy Transition division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving a diverse portfolio of significant initiatives in the field of energy transition.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Develop and implement project management processes tailored to the unique challenges of major energy transition projects, focusing on industries such as Oil & Gas, Power plants, Process plants, or Energy Intensive Industries.
- Project Planning and Execution: Take ownership of project-level planning, execution, and delivery within sectors like Power-to-X (Hydrogen), Carbon capture, Bio energy (Power plants), Bio fuels, Offshore Energy (Offshore Substations), or Energy Intensive Industries.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overarching organizational goals.
- Project Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, and budgets, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Progress Monitoring and Risk Management: Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing risks and challenges specific to the energy transition landscape for major initiatives.
- Client Relationships and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strategic relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to enhance project outcomes and promote sustainable practices in major projects.
- Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, environmental regulations, and quality requirements for major projects.
- Strategic Insights and Recommendations: Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on advancing our position in the energy transition market, particularly in specified sectors.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- A proven track record (10+ years) in successfully managing large and complex projects within the Energy sector.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of energy transition technologies, policies, and market trends.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a keen eye for incorporating sustainable practices.
- Experience in navigating regulatory frameworks and fostering partnerships in the energy transition landscape.
- Demonstrated experience within at least one of the specified markets: Power-to-X (Hydrogen), Bioenergy, Offshore Energy (Offshore Substations), or Energy Intensive Industries.

Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary for this role is between $120,000 and $180,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
