As an intern with UNDP, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the achievement of our organizational objectives.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a software development internship candidate who is eager to learn and grow with us. The selected candidate will be part of our Information and Technology Management (ITM) unit, which supports UNDP Country Offices around the world with ICT and Green Energy solutions.
As an intern, you will assist in developing corporate dashboards and applications using PHP Framework, Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBI for business intelligence and processes automation. You will also support online collaboration tools and business process automation solutions for UNDP Country Offices within the collaboration platform (Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365).
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development of corporate dashboards and applications using PHP Framework, Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBI;
- Assisting in the implementation of Green Energy Projects implemented by the Green Energy Team;
- Providing support in expanding and refining existing tools used in the project-tracking and data visualization using Excel, PowerBI, and other business intelligence tools;
To be eligible for this internship, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- You are enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (such as a master's programme, or higher);
- You are enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (such as bachelor's degree or equivalent);
- You have recently graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) in the field of IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering;
Desirable skills and qualifications include:
- Experience or knowledge in the field of IT Technician/Software Developer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies (Office 365, SharePoint Online, Azure) and back-office platform (SharePoint, SQL) and frameworks (.NET, PowerShell, etc.);
- Knowledge and being a proficient user of Microsoft Office productivity tools;
As an intern with UNDP, you will receive a monthly stipend, and you will be expected to work full-time. We also offer a dynamic and informal working environment, with opportunities to learn and grow with our team.
