Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Power Trader to join our ambitious US Physical Power Trading team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to developing and enhancing the current and future physical trading activities of MFT Energy in the North American market.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement profitable trading strategies in the North American power markets.
- Analyze real-time market information, including weather, load, outages, and other relevant factors.
- Adhere to all administrative and compliance standards as directed by the compliance, risk management, and legal departments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and potential changes that may affect the markets.
- Collaborate with junior traders and the back-office department to ensure seamless execution of trades.
Your Qualifications and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in physical and financial power markets.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills for financial modeling and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A positive and competitive attitude, with a strong work ethic.
- Emotional discipline and the ability to manage stress during market fluctuations.
