Global Desktop Solutions Engineer

As a senior technical role, this position plays a crucial part in ensuring stable, efficient, and compliant IT solutions.
About the RoleThis Global Desktop Solutions Engineer is accountable for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting an organization's end-user computing across the FDB. The primary tasks include providing technical support to customers on standard operation of core systems, responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting an organization's end-user computing across the FDB, and resolving complex technical issues.

- Responsible for monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting an organization's end-user computing across the FDB.
- Resolves complex technical issues, provides critical technical guidance, and expertise, diagnosing and resolving high-level technical issues across a diverse range of technologies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administration, including setting up, managing, and troubleshooting SCCM infrastructure. They should have strong skills in SCCM administration, including managing client, system policies, and reporting, as well as extensive knowledge in deploying new operating systems using SCCM.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities of the Global Desktop Solutions Engineer include:
- OS Deployment: Deploying new operating systems using SCCM, including creating task sequences, boot images, and driver packages.
- Patch Management: Managing and deploying patches using SCCM.
- Software Distribution: Packaging and deploying software through SCCM.
- Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing problems related to SCCM.
- PowerShell Scripting: Automating tasks in SCCM using PowerShell scripting.
- Networking Knowledge: Understanding networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- SQL Server: Understanding SQL Server as SCCM uses SQL Server as a backend.
