Shipping Inspector

As a Shipping Inspector, you will be responsible for supporting our team with your engineering expertise and independently visiting sites to inspect vessels in-service and examining equipment & components for the marine industry.
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng) and experience as a Surveyor in other IACS Class Societies is preferable.
The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conduct surveys on specific high-risk activities.
- Work out a cost structure for each customer and assess the design, production, and in-service aspects of engineering assets for complex and demanding situations.
- Mentor or coach colleagues as appropriate.
