Embedded Software Manager

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Manager to lead our global engineering team, based in Ballerup, Denmark.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting several teams of skilled software engineers across Europe. Your primary objective will be to guide these teams in designing and implementing firmware for existing and new audio/video products, promoting efficient engineering development and fostering long-term talent growth within the organization.
You will also be responsible for coordinating the design, development, testing, and debugging of firmware for existing and new GN/Jabra products, primarily based on Android, Linux, and other embedded RTOS. Additionally, you will develop and implement project plans and processes, schedules, and documentation of work and results, requiring cross-department coordination, meetings, and follow-up with actions.
Your key responsibilities will include collecting requirements, creating initial backlogs, refining, and setting visions for agile teams. You will collaborate with outsourcing partners, follow up on cases with chipset vendors and video communication partners, and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

What We OfferAs an Embedded Software Manager at Jabra, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately $140,000-$180,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. Requirements and Qualifications- A Science Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- An experienced people manager with strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish good rapport, generate enthusiasm, negotiate priorities, and demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth experience with various software development tools for building systems/toolchains, revision control, security, Open Source Licensing, and debugging.
- Experience with modern software development workflows using Continuous Integration Continuous Development (CICD) practices and Agile software development (SAFe preferred).
- Strong fundamentals in programming bare-metal firmware and multi-threaded programs for various OSes including Android, Embedded Linux, and RTOS.
- Fully oriented towards reinforcing high quality in software development using code review, test automation, and various testing methodologies (e.g., unit tests, static analysis, etc.).
- Demonstrate a sense of humor, tact, and flexibility in changing situations, and strong relationships-building skills.
