This role offers a chance to work closely with the R&D teams and the Corporate Affairs organization, which consists of Group Legal, M&A, Compliance, and Regulatory. • Patent Portfolio Management: Coordinate patent activities and Nilfisk's patent and design portfolio through timely submission of all registrations and payment of fees. Ensure that corporation agreements and contracts are in place.
  • Patent Law: Handle infringement assertations as well as training and education of employees in relation to patentability and freedom-to-operate within the area they work in.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 8-10+ years of experience working with Intellectual Property, patent application processes, and patent law, preferably with experience from an external patent agency and/or IP department in international corporations

  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to work with all levels of stakeholders, including senior management, engineers/researchers, and patent agencies.
  • Language Skills: Good in English reading, writing, and listening.

Nice to Have:

  • German Language Skills: Good proficiency in German; fluency is not required but a solid understanding and ability to read and understand German is advantageous.
  • Successful Track Record: Proven track record of successful patent prosecutions and IP litigation cases
