About the role

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer with a focus on UI, to help bring our mantra - simple but powerful - to life. You will work closely with product and engineering to turn complex problems into elegant solutions that feel effortless to use. 

This role is about more than making things look good - it is about designing flows and tools that enable experience creators to seamlessly manage and sell their experiences. As we scale, your work will define how thousands of experience creators grow their businesses with Understory.

What you'll do
  • Design beautiful UIs; targeted both to our experience creators, and their guests
  • Strengthen and evolve our design system so it scales with the product and team.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX and Engineering to turn customer needs into intuitive, polished solutions.
  • Own the design process end-to-end, from early sketches to high fidelity screens.
  • Advocate for the customer voice, ensuring our product feels human, consistent, and empowering at every touchpoint.

  • Have experience as a UI Product Designer, preferably in a startup or scale-up environment.
  • Are curious and proactive - you don't wait for perfect briefs, you help shape them.
  • Can move comfortably between big-picture thinking and pixel-level detail.
  • Value feedback and iteration as part of the design process.
