About the role:

In this pivotal role, you'll take the lead in establishing our IT Transformation & Strategy Office, which include defining, building, and maturing the new function - creating a unified framework for application architecture, project and portfolio management, and IT governance. The role also oversees the successful delivery of strategic IT projects, including post-acquisition integrations, ensuring that new entities and systems are seamlessly incorporated into the global IT landscape.

The position combines strategic leadership with a practical, hands-on approach where needed — You'll not only set the direction but also roll up your sleeves when needed — guiding teams, steering complex projects, and ensuring tangible business outcomes every step of the way.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

• Member of the Global IT Management Team, shaping IT strategy, governance, and organization.
• Take the lead to define and implement frameworks covering governance, architecture, portfolio, and performance.
• Align IT initiatives to ensure coherence, transparency, and measurable value.
• Maintain the application landscape roadmap with business and IT leaders.
• Ensure application architecture and portfolio support business strategy.

Team & People Leadership

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of architects and project managers in Denmark and Poland.
• Foster accountability, collaboration, empowerment, and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure the team has the right skills, tools, and methods.
• Mentor and coach senior specialists and project managers.

Project & Portfolio Oversight

• Oversee IT project portfolio delivery on scope, time, and cost through strong governance.
• Prioritize resources per business goals and step in on critical projects when needed.
• Ensure smooth execution of integrations with focus on continuity and value.
• Standardize project management practices and reporting.

Governance & Stakeholder Management

• Establish governance, KPIs, and reporting for effective oversight.
• Partner with business and IT leaders to secure measurable value.
• Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to executives.
• Build strong partnerships with external providers.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 12+ years of progressive IT leadership experience with strong exposure to IT governance, application architecture, and project portfolio management.
• Proven track record in establishing or leading an IT Transformation and Strategy Office or equivalent IT governance function in a global organization.
• Demonstrated success in leading IT project management functions, ideally including large-scale integration of acquired entities.
• Experience from a production or manufacturing company is required, with solid understanding of core business processes, ERP/MES systems, and operational dependencies.
• Executive training or certification in leadership, project management (PMP, PRINCE2), or enterprise architecture is an advantage.
• Experience in leading and developing senior professionals and managers in a global, matrix-based environment.
• Familiarity with ERP, PLM, CRM, integration platforms, and other enterprise systems.

This role is based in KK Wind Solutions' office in Ikast, with flexibility for hybrid work.
