Short Description

At SAS, we are on a journey to redefine the future of aviation. As our Communications Associate, you will play a key role in shaping and sharing our story externally. You will help develop and execute communication strategies, create compelling content across multiple channels, and support media and public relations efforts that strengthen SAS' voice and brand. Collaboration across departments is a key part of this role, ensuring all communication is aligned and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy And Planning
Support the development and implementation of communication plans that align with SAS' goals and strategic priorities.

Content Creation
Draft, edit, and publish a wide range of materials, including press releases, web, social media posts, and other external communications.

Digital Presence
Create thought-leadership content and carry SAS' commercial messages through corporate communication channels, ensuring consistent and impactful engagement with target audiences. Support this by producing engaging content for SAS' digital platforms, with a particular focus on social media.

Media And Public Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets (in Sweden in particular), and content creators globally, distribute press materials, monitor coverage, and assist in proactive media outreach.

Cross-department Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues in Brand, Marketing, Sales, and Public Affairs to ensure communications are aligned, consistent, and supportive of SAS' broader objectives.

Analysis And Reporting
Track, monitor, and report on communication activities to evaluate effectiveness and provide insights for continuous improvement.

Experience
Education
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a communications role.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear and consistent content across channels.
• Proven experience with digital communication, including hands-on management of social media platforms to drive engagement and strengthen brand awareness.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

A strong interest in politics, economics, and global affairs is important to succeed in this role, as aviation intersects with many aspects of society.

Position: Fulltime (100%)

This position is based in our office at Kastrup, Copenhagen and you will be expected to work onsite. Remote work may also be an option, depending on the agreement made with your manager.
