Staff Software Engineer

The role
We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Product and Development team. You'll work fully hands-on, designing scalable systems, mentoring others and guiding engineering decisions. While not having managerial responsibilities, you'll lead through technical excellence, collaboration and cross-team impact.

As a Staff Engineer, you will be a trusted partner across teams, helping others solve complex problems and mentoring senior engineers to achieve greater impact. This role starts at 79,000 DKK per month and can grow up to 89,000 DKK as you develop. You'll be part of our structured career framework, which includes regular performance reviews. As you build skills, take on new responsibilities and progress in your role, your salary grows with you. What You Will Do

• Build scalable and maintainable software grounded in domain-driven design principles
• Help shape and drive the team's technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Influence high-level design and architectural decisions across systems and teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term strategy.
• Own projects from start to finish, solving complex challenges and fostering collaboration between Product and Engineering
• Mentor and support other engineers, empowering them to grow and achieve greater impact

What You Bring

• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming, system design, testing and common design patterns, with hands-on experience applying different approaches and understanding their trade-offs
• Broad knowledge of building software, prepared for rapid development and scalability
• Solid experience with at least one server-side language. We work with PHP and TypeScript, but what matters most is your ability to build great software and learn our stack.
• Experience with a modern frontend framework and complex state management. We use Angular, but great frontend fundamentals matter more than framework labels.
• Good testing practices and familiarity with frameworks such as Vitest or Pest
