Do you thrive on bringing joy to others, creating warm connections, and keeping the energy high throughout the day? At DIStrict Café, your lively spirit and service minded approach help shape a welcoming space where colleagues come to work, reset, and recharge. 

Join our dynamic team for weekday shifts between 7.00 and 17.30 and become a familiar, friendly face in the everyday lives of our faculty and staff.

DIStrict Café: Where Big Ideas Meet Everyday Treats

DIStrict Café is the social hub for DIS faculty and staff from around the world. It is a relaxed and friendly environment where colleagues come for breakfast, snacks, and homemade treats. Hip hop, UK Garage, Jazz and everything in between fill the café, blending with the aroma of freshly baked goods. In the middle of it all is you, bringing a high energy service that makes people want to return again and again.

We are not a commercial café. We focus on creating a playful, inclusive, and inspiring environment where colleagues meet outside classrooms and office spaces.

Your Role: Make Coffee, Bake, and Bring Life to the Space

The café is open from 8.00 to 16.00, and you will take part in both opening and closing shifts. Everything we serve is homemade, and we enjoy renewing the menu every season. Your curiosity and creativity in the kitchen are highly valued.

During a typical shift, you will:

• Bake fresh bread, unpack deliveries, and help prepare the café before opening
• Prepare coffee, drinks, and food orders with efficiency and a consistently positive attitude
• Create delicious homemade treats with your team
• Close the café, clean equipment and workspaces, and restock for the next day

You enjoy meeting new people and your natural curiosity and friendliness makes others feel welcome. You adapt easily and enjoy the fast-paced rhythm of a café environment.

We imagine that you

• Have experience from the food service industry or another customer facing role
• Bring a vibrant, upbeat presence to every interaction
• Are curious about sustainable food practices and enjoy learning and sharing knowledge
• Speak English fluently. Danish is not required

Please note: The role is a part-time position. You must be legally eligible to work in Denmark. This position does not include a work visa.
