About your future role

You'd join backend-first team building the core Alternative Payment Methods library used across multiple PSPs in the Nexi Group. Every integration you deliver directly impacts merchants and consumers, shaping how millions of people pay.

You'll tackle complex backend challenges at Pan-European scale — from seamless API orchestration to ensuring reliability, security, and performance in high-volume environments. Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

As a Senior backend .Net Developer on our team, you'll be part of a greenfield journey — not starting from zero but shaping a payments library that will be used across multiple PSPs in the Nexi Group. To succeed here, you'll be expected to live up to our team standards:

• Collaborate with respect and ownership — actively contribute to discussions, challenge ideas constructively, and take responsibility for outcomes
• Document everything — make documentation a first-class deliverable, ensuring clarity and continuity for the team and future maintainers
• Embrace a startup spirit — stay pragmatic, proactive, and ready to adapt as we grow into new areas like POS
  Influence the team for right design and technology implementation & give future architectural direction

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

• You are use to build, deploy and operate world class systems while addressing privacy, regulatory and security concerns
• Extensive experience with C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET Core, Docker, gRPC.
• Experienced in software design and application architectures e.g Domain Driven Design, Event Driven & Microservices Architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based solutions e.g. in Azure (Cosmos DB, Entra Id, Service Bus, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of security and performance optimisation
• Good at source code management, continuous integration and continuous deployment
  Able to think far in advance for the development of multiple platforms: spotting problems, bottlenecks and being able to thrive in a quick iterative delivery

• Natural curiosity about Payment industry market trends
• A solid knowledge of building world class scalable solutions
• A knowledge of architectural designs that work well in regulated environments
• Deep understanding of the lifecycle of software development
