As the Head of the GenAI Innovation Lab, you will report directly to the Head of GenAI Journey & Innovation and be part of the GenAI Innovation & Foundation area under the Chief AI Officer. The Role

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the GenAI Innovation Lab, responsible for steering our GenAI initiatives to deliver tangible business outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Driving Innovation and Business Value : Champion the mission of the GenAI Innovation Lab by aligning with Domain Leads and collaborating across diverse teams. Your focus will be on delivering innovative GenAI solutions through Proof-of-Value's (POVs) that enhance customer experiences and drive business growth, positioning Danske Bank as a significant participant in the European market.
• Pushing advancement on external insights and research : Leading the way for exploring new technologies and embedding them into Danske Bank.
• Strategic Leadership : Engage with senior stakeholders to gather insights and drive strategic initiatives that ensure alignment with the bank's vision of becoming a leader in Generative AI.
• Operational Excellence : Oversee the lab's daily operations, including planning, backlog management, and performance reporting, to ensure effective delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
• Risk Management : Ensure compliance with governance policies while managing risks associated with innovative GenAI products and services.
• Agile Methodologies: Lead the adoption of agile practices within the lab, creating a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence in the fast-evolving landscape of Generative AI.
• Sparring partner to CAIO, CEO, COO and CTO: Work as source of inspiration and sparring partner for the senior leadership team in Danske Bank in assessing and advising on strategic direction for GenAI

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a visionary leader with a strong commitment to exploring the potential of Generative AI The ideal candidate will possess:

• A natural bias towards change, being a true change agent, challenging ambition levels and bringing new perspectives to the organisation to push for true transformation
• Extensive experience in leading teams within the AI or technology sectors, with a proven track record of delivering strategic business outcomes and effectively managing stakeholder relationships.
• A deep understanding of Generative AI technologies and their applications, coupled with the ability to create an environment focused on trust, empowerment, and collaboration.
• Strong experience in agile development and agile product management methodologies.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting to and engaging with senior leadership.
• A growth mindset, open to taking calculated risks and exploring innovative solutions that accelerate our GenAI initiatives.
