Summary

ESET is seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to serve as Country Manager, responsible for driving commercial success and operational excellence within the local market. This role encompasses direct leadership of sales and marketing teams, oversight of cross-functional operations, and representation of the local entity both internally and externally.

Job description

The Country Manager plays a pivotal role in aligning local execution with ESET's global strategy , fostering a high-performance culture , and ensuring ethical and procedural integrity across all business functions . The position requires close collaboration with headquarters and regional teams , particularly in areas related to sales , marketing, and people management.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Define and implement a market-specific sales and marketing strategy that supports ESET's global objectives and capitalizes on local opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and marketing teams, ensuring alignment with HQ counterparts and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to strengthen market position and drive growth.
  • Contribute to the development of business plans, budgets, and forecasts in coordination with global strategy and planning teams.
  • Ensure consistent application of global policies, procedures, and standards across sales, marketing, and operational domains.
  • Oversee performance management of direct reports, including delegation of responsibilities, regular feedback, and formal evaluations.
  • Authorize and issue local policies and procedures in line with corporate governance and operational needs.
  • Act as the legal representative of the local entity, with oversight of functions including Finance, HR, Legal, IT, Procurement, Customer Care, and Corporate Solutions.
  • Negotiate, sign, and manage agreements with external entities such as distributors, resellers, vendors, and service providers, within the scope of delegated authority.
  • Represent the company in interactions with judicial bodies, government institutions, and financial organizations

Ideal Experience and Skills :

  • Professional experience in a related area (min. 15 years)
  • At least 3 – 4 years of experience in managing indirect sales through partners, distributors and resellers
  • Extensive experience in managing and leading people in a senior position (min. 10 years)
  • Experience working in the area of software or hardware or a background in technology is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic knowledge of the IT market in a specific country.
  • Fluency in Danish language and English is required
