Research coordinator/lab manager in eating disorders

The Center for Research in Eating and feeding Disorders (CEDaR) at Mental Health Center Ballerup seeks a research coordinator to join a strong international research environment in eating disorders, starting from December 2025. The position will be offered at 37 hours and initially for one year, with the possibility to become permanent.
Position and tasks
You will support Professor Nadia Micali and other senior staff members across several areas, including research management and administration—for example, developing protocols and procedures for human research studies; taking responsibility for managing and setting up administrative and regulatory processes; and ensuring adherence to established protocols, policies, and procedures, including troubleshooting problems and addressing relevant challenges. You will also contribute to and lead the recruitment of research participants and help develop effective strategies for participant recruitment. In addition, you will support the organisation of internal and external meetings and events, including minute-taking and ensuring that relevant administrative aspects are up to date, as well as assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks. Finally, you will undertake additional administrative duties related to research and grant management depending on needs and resources, such as supporting the Head of Unit with managing budgets (internal and grant-related) in collaboration with regional or local administration, preparing grant applications, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the unit.
Environment
The Center for Eating and feeding Disorders Research (CEDaR) is a multicultural and multidisciplinary team recently set up with a large portfolio of grants, across epidemiological, genetic, neuroimaging, and clinical intervention studies in feeding and eating disorders. We are a dynamic, collaborative, and international team, that is rapidly growing. The unit has several international collaborations with the UK, US, Norway, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland.
Research in eating disorders is a highly prioritized research area of the Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark. We have a strong commitment to perform research at the highest international level with the aim of providing new insights into what causes eating disorders and better treatments for patients.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will be enthusiastic, well-organized, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and have experience in research administration within a university or hospital setting.
Essential requirements are:
- Motivation to support research in eating disorders.
- Master's degree in public health or administration
- Experience in effective project management and co-ordination.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Danish
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills.
- Self-directed, proactive and timely in the management of assignments.
- Prior experience in research management or coordination in a university or hospital setting.
Conditions
Salary, pension and other conditions of employment are set in accordance with the Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and AC (Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) or other relevant organisations.
The position is in accordance with best Danish labour practices, including a 37-hour work week, six weeks of paid vacation per annum, funded parental leave, matched pension contributions, enrolment in national healthcare, and labour union representation.
The position is initially offered for a fixed-term of one year with the possibility of an extension.
