About the job

You will join our team of highly skilled floating zone crystal experts, collaborating with professionals both locally in Frederikssund and globally within the company, as well as with industry partners and relevant universities.

Your work will be to strengthen our crystal growth by leading the Simulation team to develop the next level crystal growth model. This will enable new products and processes as well as improving our high-tech production.

You will work as a Team leader and a Project Manager. The Team leader work is focused on guiding the skilled simulation experts in the right direction by providing a strong coupling to real world experiments and to production data. The Project Manager's work is cross disciplinary and involves operators, technicians, and technical experts both in-house as well as external. For this reason, it is a requirement that you can work with many different people and professional groups.

Your primary responsibility:

  • Personnel responsible for a small team of simulation experts.
  • Project manager on process optimizations or new product development – including product development from crystal growth experiments to final tests and production ramp.
  • Project manager on new machine parts for existing machines – including idea generation, drawing, manufacturing, and implementation.
  • General support of the production on advanced technical challenges.

About you

In this position, we expect that you:

  • Possess technical education at master- or Ph.D. level.
  • Experience as a leader is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Hold years of experience.
  • Must have experience with project management including planning, risk management and execution.
  • Must have a basic understanding of FEM simulations but you do not need to be an expert.
  • Must be able to create the link between simulations and real-world experiments and production data.
  • Must have experience with: Physics, Mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, statistics and data analysis.
  • Can work independently and in a team with different skills and educational levels.
  • Are fluent in English
