We are seeking a senior scientist to join our Danish Product Design & Application team in Hørsholm. In this role, you'll have an impact on continuously improving our application center. You will collaborate closely with our scientists, technicians, QA, regulatory and commercial teams.

Welcome to Product Design & Application
The Product Design & Application team is a vital part of Human Health Biosolutions (HHB), and we specialize in creating science-based biosolutions for our customers, focusing on the formulation, implementation, and troubleshooting of solid dosage forms containing pre-, post-, and probiotics. We develop innovative products, both with and without additional nutrients, produce consumer samples, and scale up product manufacturing.

Our team consists of 20 members. We are a mix of academics and technicians – ranging from newly graduated to highly experienced professionals, including pharmacists, food scientists, and biotechnology engineers. We are driven, self-motivated, and energetic, with a strong passion for teamwork, and a great sense of humor.

In This Role You'll Make An Impact By
Contributing through your work to develop and maintain our position as market leader in probiotics for the supplement and special nutrition industries, while also expanding our position in pre- and probiotic solution. Ensure we are in compliance with food regulations and foster a food safety culture.

• HACCP specialist leading the implementation of new procedures and improvement of procedures to ensure food safety compliance in our Human Health Application Center.
• Responsible to upgrade our HH Application center to meet our cooperative quality standards
• Managing small-scale production activities, ensuring effective planning, execution and control of batch documentation in alignment with quality requirements
• Responsible for identifying areas of improvement
• Responsible to improve our systems for traceability by implementation of SAP or similar systems
• Ensure HH Application Center can be Halal and Kosher certified
• Investigate and implement systems to ensure compliance with Dietary Supplement regulations including 21 CFR Part 11.
• Improve our cleaning procedures by conducting a validation system.
• Responsible for preparations for audits and participation in audits
• Responsible to develop and maintain training systems within food safety.
• Lead the training of team in HACCP and allergen handling.
• Participate in biweekly meeting with QA support functions
• Participate in HACCP meetings across our site
• Handling of deviations

To Succeed You Must Hold

• Biotech Engineer/Pharmaceutical scientist/Food scientist or similar
• Minimum 5 years of experience from food industry with focus on operations and execution of HACCP systems. Hands-on experience is essential.
• Several years of experience within dietary supplements, ingredients for dietary supplements. Knowledge within fermentation, freezedrying or product development
